Understood, I was responding to mah's a bit off topic use of mass loading. No one has to convince me of its audio related benefits, so only promote experimentation, though we'll have to 'agree to disagree' about keeping a cab stock except for possibly re-sale purposes, especially just about every manufacturer's cabs up until recently. As I just posted on the port thread, much less mass loading is required when properly braced and of course if the cab is already big/heavy enough, then none at all.

If it hums and/or has moving parts, it likely needs at least some, even that fine 09 BD player. My 23FD perks right up with a stack of old vinyl albums holding it down.Originally Posted by LowOhms
